Submarine Operations Planner
Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a submarine operations planner to provide support for planning Submarine Tactical Development Exercise and at-sea operations directly supporting the Undersea Warfighting Development Center (UWDC) Tactical Analysis Group (TAG). Must possess good communication skills. Work will include scheduling and planning the operations, coordinating with participating ships and commands, setting up planning and arrival conferences, producing and updating exercise operations orders (OPORDS) and providing administrative and logistical support as directed by the TAG staff during both the planning and underway phases.
Served minimum of 2 years as a submarine Assistant Navigator.
Knowledge of submarine safety requirements including water space management Prevention of Mutual Interface (PMI) and publications governing these requirements.
Knowledge and use of the Voyage Management System.
U.S. Citizenship and current Department of Defense SECRET (or higher) level security clearance.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Any of the following is strongly desired and preferred:
Experience as Submarine Squadron Assistant Navigator
Knowledge and use of the WEBSKED application for submitting submarine service requests
Experience in drafting Operation Orders and planning complicated exercises involving multiple warships, submarines and anti-submarine military aircraft
