Sonalysts is experienced in supporting operational compliance with Department of Energy regulations, particularly 10CFR830, Nuclear Safety Management.
Sonalysts has provided technical and management support to DOE/NNSA Management and Operations contractors for the development, implementation, and evaluation of safety basis documentation and programs for nuclear facilities since 1992. This support has included assistance in the development and implementation of D and associated safety management programs such as the Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) program, as well as an assessment of the implementation of those programs and the appropriate safety controls.
Sonalysts’ has been extensively involved in supporting the DOE in the establishment of Integrated Safety Management Systems (ISMS) throughout the DOE complex. These efforts included development of ISMS training materials, drafting of ISMS verification documentation, and conducting ISMS verification reviews. Sonalysts’ personnel have served as DOE ISMS verification team members for a number of facilities including: the Hanford site, the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the Nevada Test Site and the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Sonalysts is currently providing support to the office of the Chief of Defense Nuclear Safety (CDNS), NNSA headquarters, including assisting with on-site assessments of the implementation of the Nuclear Safety Management Rule, 10CFR830.
Sonalysts’ personnel provide support to a number of clients in the areas of process review and improvement, verifying the current status of operational and management programs and providing expert guidance on ways of improving the performance and efficiency of these programs. Sonalysts is also involved in the development and implementation of issues tracking and corrective actions programs.
