Sonalysts Engineering Services has mastered the use of close-range photogrammetry technology to support facility/system engineering/re-engineering, modification, quality assurance, and decommissioning/dismantlement. Sonalysts provided engineering support to Nuclear Materials Technology Division at LANL to baseline all the gloveboxes in building one of its facilities. Close-range photogrammetry was used to document the as-is condition of the gloveboxes and their support systems in a very short time on site. This data was then used off site to create 3D models and piping and instrumentation diagrams of the gloveboxes and the entire facility to establish the current baseline.
