NUCLEAR OPERATIONS ENGINEER / CONSULTANT

Location:  Waterford,CT

Description:

 This position will be located in the Rockville, Maryland area.

• Provide technical and management support to the Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Headquarters and associated DOE/NNSA Management & Operations (M&O) contractors in the areas of nuclear operations and management.
• Assist DOE/NNSA HQ elements in the implementation of M&O contractor oversight and assessment processes.
• Assist and mentor clients in the implementation of DOE/NNSA expectations for Contractor Assurance programs
• Identify, evaluate, and implement regulatory and consensus industry design, maintenance, and operating requirements to facility and process systems.
• Apply engineering process disciplines, including design change control, configuration management, codes and standards compliance assessment, and design adequacy analysis for facility and process systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline. 
• Senior level (15 years or more) experience providing management and technical engineering support to industrial or government manufacturing, processing, or research facilities. 
• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a government security clearance.  An existing Department of Energy “Q” clearance is preferred.
