DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY/U. S. COAST GUARD BUSINESS DEVELOPER

Location:  Waterford,CT

Description:
Former senior U.S. Coast Guard officer to provide operational, technical, programmatic, and acquisition support for the development of business with the Department of Homeland Security agencies with special emphasis in the U.S. Coast Guard.
 
Tasks would include the following:
• Contact prospective clients in DHS/US Coast Guard in connection with prospects for work associated with Sonalysts’ areas of expertise.
• Collaborate closely with customers regarding development of requirements and execution of said business areas.
• Prospect and develop new client relationships in the greater Washington, D.C., area and other areas where DHS/US Coast Guard agencies have a strong presence.
• Identify DHS/US Coast Guard industry-related trends and opportunities.
• Provide support to project managers and team leads during the project delivery process.
• Market existing contracts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred), preferably in a government-related or technical field.
• Former US Coast Guard Officer with minimum of 15 years experience.
• Strong writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to think creatively and perform with flexibility.
• Willingness to accept new challenges with little supervision.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior government staff.
• Exceptional relationship development skills.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for government security clearance.
• Experience in U.S. Coast Guard operations and major acquisition programs involving C4ISR, Modeling and Simulation and Training is strongly desired.
