Support Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) managers in the development, execution, and evaluation of testing programs associated with Strategic Weapons System (SWS) to be installed in the OHIO replacement submarine (SSBN(R)). Conduct analysis to identify deficiencies in submarine electronics warfare support (ES) tactical doctrine, tactical systems, and training. Conduct all phases of submarine ES exercise planning, execution, reconstruction, analysis, and reporting. Possess a detailed knowledge of submarine tactical operations and current submarine Electronic Warfare Support mission. Provide conceptual and detailed technical and analytical reports to improve the conduct of submarine electronic warfare support. Qualifications:
- Recent tour as a Submarine Qualified Chief Petty Officer or senior enlisted AN/BLQ-10(V) operator with operational SSN or SSGN experience or recent experience as a member of a direct support element for submarine deployments.
- At least 5 years relevant AN/BLQ-10(V) experience.
- Operational signal analysis experience with submarine ES systems including the AN/BLQ-10.
- Basic understanding of electromagnetic propagation (visible, IR, and RF bands).
- Eligibility for and capability of embarking on submarines.
Any of the following is strongly desired:
- Associates or Bachelors degree, engineering or computer science degrees are preferred.
- Recent submarine experience – Electronics Technician or Cryptologic Technician
